Regular PMIs are an essential part of maintaining HGVs and trailers, helping to ensure vehicles remain roadworthy and meet operator compliance requirements.
For operators running under an operator’s licence, safety inspections must be carried out at agreed intervals. These are set based on vehicle usage and operating conditions, but are often scheduled at regular points throughout the year, typically around six inspections annually depending on the operation.
Regular PMIs form an important part of demonstrating compliance with Transport Commissioner requirements, supporting your Operator Compliance Risk Score (OCRS) and helping ensure vehicles remain roadworthy at all times.
