At DCR Ltd, we provide on-site repair and maintenance services for HGVs and trailers across Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire, supporting both fleet operators and sole traders.

We carry out planned maintenance inspections (PMIs) and routine servicing to help keep vehicles compliant and in good working condition.
For operators running under an operator’s licence, safety inspections must be carried out at agreed intervals. These are set based on vehicle usage and operating conditions, but are often scheduled at regular points throughout the year, typically around six inspections annually depending on the operation.
Regular PMIs form an important part of demonstrating compliance with Transport Commissioner requirements and ensuring vehicles remain roadworthy.
Brake performance checks also form a key part of this process. Current guidance requires a brake performance assessment at every inspection, with operators expected to carry out regular brake testing throughout the year and retain records as part of their maintenance system.
